Why this exists

Some things need saying out loud.

You're still the only woman in the room.

In the depot, the product stand-up, the investor pitch. Whether you run operations or write code, plenty of women still count the room when they walk in. We talk about what that does to a career, and what actually helps.

Flexibility is treated as a perk, not a baseline.

Round-the-clock operations and start-ups racing to launch both run on long hours, and flexible working is still handed out as a favour. For mothers and carers it decides who stays and who leaves. It should be designed into roles from the start.

Nobody explains the next step.

Which qualifications pay back, how to move from operations into tech, how to raise money for your start-up, and how to go for the role once you're ready. Straight answers, from women who have done it.

The tools are being built without us.

AI, automation and software are reshaping how goods move, but women are still a small share of the people building them. If we're missing from those rooms, the tools get designed around someone else's working day.

From the founder
Clare Nzvere, founder of Women Who Deliver

Why I started Women Who Deliver

I started Women Who Deliver because the advice I needed wasn't written down anywhere.

I've spent more than ten years working across the UK and China, most recently in marketing and administration in the UK fleet and transport sector, and I've seen the start-up world up close too. In both worlds I've met brilliant women working things out alone: which qualifications to take, how to ask for flexible working, how to pitch an idea, how to be heard as the only woman in the meeting.

Women Who Deliver is where we share what actually works, plainly and without the fluff.
